Tri-Squadron Founders Day Essex Meeting 4 March 06

Saturday 4 March 2006 the Tri-Squadron +1 group meet for our Founders Day get together. Saybrook was "host" and our event began with a moment of silence for recently departed Grace Curtis, wife of NLPS Cdr Henry Curtis, and Charlie Potvin of Norwich Squadron who died on 3 March. Barclay Thomas read a history of USPS, and after a wonderful lunch (it was professionally catered by Joanna Cronkite from New Britian Squadron) we were treated to a special presentation of underwater photography by Master Diving Instructor Gary Woods, son of P/C/C Bob Woods. This event had been postponed several times due to weather conditions, but it was worth the wait. We'll meet again as a Tri-Squadron +1 group on 12 June at the Westerly Yacht Club for our annual picnic.
