Quinebaug Travelers Aug 05 Trip To NH With Clamdiggers

The pictures in this show a few highlights of our trip to New Hampshire. The trip was organized by wagonmasters Joe and Karen. We had 6 rigs from Quinebaug Travelers and 3 from the Clamdiggers. We spent one week in Lincoln, NH, at the Country Bumpkin CG, and took in local attractions from the MS Mt. Washington boat ride on Lake Winnepesaukee to the Cog Railway up to the top of Mt. Washington, tram rides up Cannon Mtn. and Clarks Trading Post. The Country Bumpkin CG is a small, cozy CG with three creeks running through and around it. The hotter afternoons found all of us soaking feet and legs in the cool waters, or, in the deeper areas, soaking up to our necks. With such warm days, the creek was a consistently popular event, as were the evening bonfires. At the end of the week, we all attended the VT Samboree. This was also a much enjoyed event, as was the creek on the west side of the fairgrounds. Another superb trip by Joe and Karen. Frank King writes that the pic of the cog train going up the mountain reminds him that it shook and moved around on the whole trip up. He also added in a photo the covered bridge near the Country Bumpkin CG, and two pics of the Clamdigggers preparing a fried dough pizza dinner and fried dough dessert for the entire group. He said it was "A generous job well done, delicious and much appreciated".
