New London Power Squadron Change Of Watch April 23 2006New London PS held its 66th Change of Watch on 23 April 2006 at the Port'N Starboard Restaurant at Ocean Beach Park in New London. D/C John F. Mancini, AP swore in Cdr. Henry Curtis, AP for his 2nd term as Commander of NLPS. The new Bridge consists of Executive Officer Lt/C Hugh G. Wedegis, AP, Educational Officer Lt/C Harrison L. Jewett, SN, Administrative Officer Lt/C Robert B. Leete, AP, Secretary Lt/C Peter John Schultz, P, Asst. Secretary P/Lt/C John Peterson, AP, Treasurer Lt/C Anthony Salzarulo, AP and Asst. Treasurer P/C Robert F. Smith, AP. Elected to the Executive Committee was P/C John B. Kurrus, SN, P/C Gregory Roth, JN, Lt. Donald Dimmock, P, P/Lt/C Truxton E. Brodhead, P and P/C Virginia G. District Administrative Officer John R. Nason, SN spoke on his earlier decision (while DEO) to approve Hugh Wedegis as our Educational Officer even though Hugh was new to the Squadron and hadn't achieved any grade at that point. Hugh is now an AP, taking JN, and is our Squadron Executive Officer. D/C Mancini and NLPS Cdr. Curtis each spoke of future plans and past achievements, and Certificates of Appreciation were presented to many Squadron members.
