CT Good Sam State Meeting Sunrise Resort Sept 8-10 2006

The CT Good Sams had their autumn Campout and Meeting at the Sunrise Resort in Moodus CT the weekend of September 8th through 10, 2006. There was a great turnout with twelve Chapters represented and over forty rigs at the event. You'll notice that there are quite a few snapshots of people sitting on a toilet racer. This is a Beta version of a racer that will be in an event at our 2007 Samboree in Brooklyn. The Seaport Sam Wagonmaster Howard McSparren has brought it back to his home to outfit it with bigger wheels for the Samboree event. As usual there were a LOT of volunteers who helped with cooking, clean up and organization and we've tried to capture some of these folks in our photo album. The 50-50 Raffle on Sunday was won by Alice Payette, and other prizes awared included toilet chemicals and Good Sam clothing apparel and gift certificates. The business meeting of Saturday was devoted primarily to a re-hash of the Samboree, and initial planning for the 2007 upcoming event in Brooklyn. The group decided on a Patriotic Theme for this Samboree, and the Chapters pretty much decided to keep their assigned duties-function at the Samboree. A group of four Chapter Presidents took a quick look at the State checkbook and back-up documentation, and suggestions were made for future financial processing. The initial fifty seven snapshots in this album were taken by Bob Payette, and we'll add more photo's to this album and the FLASH (Slideshow) album as they are received.
