The District 1 Fall Conference was held on 6 November 2004 at the Holiday Inn in New London CT. Saybrook Power Squadron was our host Squadron for the event. The photo's in this album start with the opening of the conference by Cdr Barclay Thomas of Saybrook, and move through the roll call, introduction of past commanders, reports of the District Officers and the message from the Chief Commander by R/C James D. Richlak, SN. After the morning breakout sessions (GPS Seminar, and VSC and Cooperative Charting) and the Decorative Stamping Mates Program, we went into Attitude Adjustment mode, then lunch. Lunch was a nice buffet that was well prepared, efficient and enabled us all to enjoy a nice break from the conference. After lunch we had Piloting Course breakout sessions, as well as a Squadron Officers breakout prior to the resumption of our business meeting. This consisted of reports from our District Officers, actions on the Minutes of the 27 March 04 Conference, the raffle drawings, and other unfinished and new business. Benediction was said and we were on the road by 1500. What a day! If you came, you enjoyed it and probably learned something. If you didn't, there is always next time, which will be our Spring Conference on 2 Apr 05 at the Best Western Hotel in East Windsor CT. Springfield will be our Host Squadron for this event.
