It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the death of Melissa Marsh, Bob and Nancy's daughter -in- law. Melissa was killed as she and Rob, Nancy and Bob's son, were riding on their motorcycle. A deer ran out in front of them. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where Melissa passed away. Rob sustained several injuries. We learned of this on Wednesday right before we were heading out for the Rhode Island Rally.Rob was just released from the hospital. There will be a Memorial Service this Friday in Westminster, MA. Please keep the Marsh family in your prayers.

Posted January 25th, 2009: Hi Everyone. Just wanted to let all of you know that the Ct Samboree is going back to the Brooklyn Fairgrounds, In Brooklyn Ct. The only week I could get was June 10th to the 14th. June 12, 13, and 14, are the dates for the Samboree price pre rigistered of $70.00 ,at the gates will be $80.00. Early Bird will start on Wed10th and Thurs.11th for an extra $18.00 a night. We had to leave Woodstock Fairgrounds do to circumstances beyond our control. Brooklyn Fairgrounds was glad to have up back We are still having our chicken dinner for an addtional $9.50 a dinner. We are having a magic show on Thurs. and the Illusion on Sat. Please let your chapters know of the Change. The chapter members can get a Samboree form off the web ct web site ctgoodsams.org or get them from you. Your Samboree forms are in the mail.

BREAKING NEWS!! January 12th, 2009: Just want to let you know that I signed a contract with the Brooklyn Fairgrounds. I had to change the dates. The Samboree dates are June 12th to the 14th. Early Bird will start on Wed June 10th for 18.00 extra per night.

Posted January 12th, 2009: Bob:I am meeting with Rick from Brooklyn Fairgrounds tomorrow night. I am going to try to get a good contract from them. Also the State Meeting will be on Feb 8th a Sunday. It will be at the same place and time. Also Jim Discola from the Mohegan Sams died on Friday Jan 9th. His Obituary should be in the Hartford Courant soon.
Posted November 29th, 2008, amended January 14th 2009: Our first State Meeting for 2009 has been scheduled for February 8th, 2009 at the Griswold Congregational Church at 2:00 P.M. The main item on the Agenda is the 2009 Samboree. Visit the CT Good Sam Calendar for directions to the meeting.
Posted May 28th, 2008: WALLINGFORD - Andre Gagne of Cheryl Ave., Wallingford, went to meet his Lord on Monday, May 26, 2008 after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette (Heiduck) Gagne. Click here for the complete obituary.
April 23rd, 2008: The fall State Meeting will be at Sunrise Resort in Moodus CT on September 12th to the 14th. The price is $35.00 a night. If you go in on Thursday the fee for that night is $25.00. I am sure you will enjoy working with her and I think she will be good for Mountain Laurel.
At the meeting yesterday she took over and get more respect than I have had in years.
Barbara and I will still camp with the club but not as often. No problems just high cost of fuel and camping fees.
I will still be willing to do your program if you would like me to.
Barbara will be glad to continue on as chaplain.

Dear Sandy,
First I would like to thank you for another great Samboree. We had a great time and look forward to next year. On a second and more important note, We (my wife and myself) would like to thank you and your staff for the great effort they took in trying to locate our lost Jack Russell Terrier. Milo is back home with us now after spending a week at the Bolton Vet Hospital. He is recovering slowly but the prospects are getting better every day. He took a bad hit to the head, and had swelling of the brain and blood in the lungs. The lungs are clear and the swelling is almost gone. He is walking short distances, but does fall over at times. The vet said that should clear up in time. The worst problem is he may not regain sight in his right eye, but only time will tell. He is strong and a fighter so hopefully he will be back to close to 100%. Again, Thank You and your staff for the assistance in this matter and we all look forward to next years Samboree.

11 March 2007 - Notes from the State Meeting held in Wallingford:
There will be a Memorial Board (people and pets) at our 2007 Samboree.
Chapters need to send Sandy a check for $30.00 to cover door prizes at the upcoming Samboree.
At the Spring State Campout (Apr 27-29-07) at Mineral Springs in Stafford Springs, there will be a Pot Luck Breakfast Saturday and Sunday, and a Pot Luck Supper on Saturday. The rate for the weekend is $60.00
The Fall State Campout at Sunrise Resort will be held on Sept 7-9-07. The rate is $67.00 for the weekend; $25.00 additional if you arrive a day early.
