2004 CT SamboreeThe 2004 CT Samboree, held at the Brooklyn Fairgrounds in Brooklyn CT, was a well attended (over 200 rigs) affair. Our Seaport Sams chapter had a successful chapter raffle, and our group did a nice job with the Chinese Auction, the proceeds from which the State donates to charity. We had several "winners", with Mac and Rose winning a nice electric scooter, Sandy Woods winning an afgan, and Mary and Joe Hamel winning a DVD player. We ALL won with the weather as it was perfect. There were tractor pulls, bean bag baseball, card tournaments, a great chicken dinner on Saturday and breakfast sandwiches on Saturday as well...and generally it was a well run fun Samboree. Sandy Bulson and her State crew are doing a very good job and working hard to make our Samboree exceptional. If you came you enjoyed it...if you didn't attend, make a note to join us next year!
